The Middlebury College Equestrian Team competes through the Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA). Founded in 1967, IHSA welcomes riders of diverse backgrounds with experiences ranging from their first time on a horse to experienced hunter-jumper competitors.
We offer riders the option to either take part in our "team," where riders compete through the IHSA, or the "club," which allows riders to take lessons without the time commitment of competitions. We are happy to provide this option to riders so Middlebury students can enjoy riding even if they do not want to compete. The size of the team varies year to year, but for the 2021-2022 season we have approximately 14 riders on the team and 16 students in the club. |
